Google's latest Call Screen feature, which utilizes Google Assistant's 'Hello' button to screen calls, is now expanding beyond the US. 

Users in the UK and Japan can now benefit from this enhanced tool, which offers an additional layer of privacy and convenience.

This feature is part of Android 15, which recently became available to users of Pixel 6 and later devices. 

The Call Screen tool works locally on your device, eliminating the need for an internet connection.

To access the next-gen Call Screen feature, users in the UK and Japan can simply open the Google Phone app, tap on the three dots in the top-right corner, select Settings, navigate to the Spam and Call Screen/Caller ID & spam option, and then choose their desired protection level.

This feature is particularly useful for combating spam calls and robocalls, saving users time and effort. 

With Call Screen enabled, Google Assistant will engage with callers on your behalf, asking for their name and purpose of the call. 

This can help identify unwanted calls and protect users from scams.

The expansion of the next-gen Call Screen feature to the UK and Japan marks a significant step forward in enhancing user privacy and convenience on Android devices.
