Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his monthly radio address Mann Ki Baat, commended 'Mission ShaktiSAT'—an extraordinary international initiative aimed at fostering space education and STEM engagement among young women.

Designed to empower the next generation of space enthusiasts, the initiative brings together thousands of schoolgirls from around the world to collaborate on a space mission.

Under the scope of Mission ShaktiSAT, an impressive cohort of 12,000 female students representing 108 countries will participate in building a satellite destined for lunar orbit. 

The payload will be engineered and assembled by these young students, offering them direct hands-on training in satellite development, payload integration, and space-grade engineering systems.

Highlighting the global scope of the mission, Prime Minister Modi emphasized how the project connects young minds from diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds. 

By unifying students across 108 nations under a shared goal, the initiative acts as a bridge for international scientific collaboration, cultural exchange, and mutual inspiration.

Beyond its technical ambitions, Mission ShaktiSAT serves as a major step forward for women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

 The Prime Minister noted that empowering young girls with practical experience in deep-space missions will help break gender barriers and pave the way for future female leaders, astronomers, and space scientists.

By targeting a lunar orbit destination, the mission provides high school students with an unprecedented opportunity to contribute to real-world deep-space exploration. 

The project stands as a testament to how international collaboration and youth empowerment can drive innovation in modern space exploration.
