Instagram has unveiled a new feature called profile cards, designed to help users connect and share their profiles more easily. 

These digital flippable panels provide a QR code for quick connections and a profile overview on the other side.

The profile overview includes essential information like your image, bio, profile category, and business links. 

You can also customize the card with a background image and a song to play when it's opened.

Instagram believes that profile cards will be valuable for creators looking to connect with brands and for individuals wanting to share their profiles with friends and groups. 

The QR code feature offers a convenient way for others to follow you instantly.

While Instagram has previously experimented with QR codes for profiles, they haven't gained widespread adoption. 

However, the new profile cards feature a more visually appealing design and offer additional customization options, which could potentially increase their usage.

Instagram is rolling out the new profile cards globally, and users can access their QR code by tapping on the "Share profile" option in the app.
